EASY & FUN WAYS YOU CAN VOLUNTEER:
- Office Assistant: Assist with bulk mailings. Filing and various office duties as assigned by staff.
- Animal Caretaker Assistant: Wash out carriers, pick up trash, bathe puppies, assist with cleaning and feeding and other duties as assigned.
- TLC (Tender Loving Care) Exercisers: Exercise and socialize adoptable dogs and cats. (Orientation and training required - see "Calendar Events")
- Special Events/ Fundraisers: Assist with Wine & Food Festival and PAWS IN THE PARK Walk for the Animals. Volunteers needed for planning and day of event.
- Humane Handyman: Help keep the buildings up to par by simple repair work, painting, woodwork, etc.
- Fostering: Foster sick, injured, very young or malnourished animals until they are ready to be adopted. Includes feeding, bathing, and providing a safe and healthy temporary home for these animals.
- Adoption Counselors: Learn how to counsel adoptive families in making the right choice of a companion pet. Assist on Saturdays and Sundays with PetsMart Luv-a-Pet adoptions. (Orientation and training required.)
- Speakers/Docents: Present information and educational programs to children and adult groups.
